Is Bitget available in Spain? MiCA status and alternatives
No sign-up button for Spain: we show one only where we have verified the Bitget referral offer for that country.
Short answer
Spain is not on the Prohibited Countries list in Bitget’s Terms of Use (last updated 20 October 2026), but “not on the list” is not the same as “authorised”. On 2 July 2026 Bitget said Bitget EU had applied to Austria’s FMA, and the outcome remains subject to the FMA’s assessment. Spain’s CNMV says that since 1 July 2026 only providers authorised by the CNMV or another European authority may operate in Spain. That is why this page has no Bitget button. Checked 21 October 2026.

Is Spain on Bitget’s Prohibited Countries list?
No. Bitget’s Terms of Use, “Last updated: October 20, 2026”, define Prohibited Countries as “the following countries and such other locations as designated by Bitget from time to time”. Among EEA countries the list names Austria, France and Germany; Spain is not named. The same wording allows Bitget to designate other locations later, so the list is not a statement that Bitget serves Spain. We quote the terms and make no legal ruling of our own.
Bitget and EU authorisation: application announced 2 July 2026
On 2 July 2026 Bitget published that Bitget EU has submitted an application for authorisation as a crypto-asset service provider under the EU crypto-asset rules to the Austrian Financial Market Authority (FMA). Bitget states that “the timing, scope and outcome of the authorisation process remain subject to the FMA’s assessment.” It adds that as soon as the required authorisation is granted and all applicable regulatory steps are completed, Bitget EU intends to provide crypto-asset services in the European Union. An application is not an authorisation. Bitget has no confirmed MiCA authorisation in the canonical registry (status MICA_PENDING). On 21 October 2026 a search for “bitget” in the whole ESMA interim register file (CASPS.csv) returned no rows.
What Spain’s rules say since 1 July 2026
The CNMV, Spain’s securities regulator, says on its crypto-asset page: “Desde el 1 de julio de 2026 solo pueden operar en España proveedores autorizados por la CNMV u otras autoridades europeas.” In English: since 1 July 2026 only providers authorised by the CNMV or other European authorities may operate in Spain. This quote was relayed by our editor (PO-read 21 October 2026) because the CNMV site could not be opened from our checking environment. To check any provider yourself, look it up in the ESMA register.
Why there is no Bitget button here
We show a sign-up link only where our evidence covers the country and the exchange is available there. For Spain we found no official Bitget page about new sign-ups and no authorisation in the ESMA register, so there is no button, no code and no bonus on this page. If Bitget receives an ESMA register entry, we will review the page.
Alternatives with an ESMA register row
The ESMA interim register has rows for Bybit EU GmbH (FMA, Austria, 28/05/2025) and OKX Europe Limited (MFSA, Malta, 27/01/2025). See our pages on Bybit and OKX. This is a register fact, not a recommendation.

FAQ
Is Bitget legal in Spain?
We make no legal ruling. Spain is not named in Bitget's Prohibited Countries list (Terms of Use updated 20 October 2026), Bitget said on 2 July 2026 that Bitget EU had applied to the FMA (outcome subject to the FMA's assessment), and the CNMV says that since 1 July 2026 only authorised providers may operate in Spain.
Does Bitget have an EU crypto-asset authorisation?
Not by our check. Bitget said on 2 July 2026 that Bitget EU has applied to the FMA; the outcome remains subject to the FMA's assessment. On 21 October 2026 a search for "bitget" in the whole ESMA interim register file returned no rows.
