Bybit in Spain: Bybit EU GmbH, CNMV and referral code

Published · updated

Residents of Spain sign up with Bybit through Bybit EU, the platform run by Bybit EU GmbH in Vienna. Its authorisation comes from Austria’s FMA, and ESMA’s register lists Spain among the countries where it may serve clients. Below: what the CNMV says since 1 July 2026, the fees and payment methods Bybit EU publishes, and how our referral code 75062 is applied.

Yes, through Bybit EU. Bybit EU GmbH is authorised by the FMA, and the ESMA interim register we read on 20 October 2026 includes ES in the host states of its entry. Since 1 July 2026 the CNMV says that only providers authorised by the CNMV or by another European authority may operate in Spain. Our referral code is 75062; Bybit EU says it cannot be added after sign-up. The sign-up button on this page applies that code on Bybit EU.

The FMA’s announcement names Bybit EU GmbH, commercial register no. FN 636180i, and says the authorisation was granted by administrative decision dated 28 May 2025. It covers custody and administration of crypto-assets for clients, exchange of crypto-assets for funds and for other crypto-assets, placing and transfer services.

The CNMV page on crypto-assets says the transition period in Spain ended on 1 July 2026 and that from that date only providers authorised by the CNMV or by other European authorities may operate in Spain. It points readers to the ESMA registers to check. We followed that advice: the ESMA row for Bybit EU GmbH shows Austria as home state, the FMA as authority, 28 May 2025 as the authorisation date and ES among the host states.

Bybit EU GmbH holds a MiCA CASP authorisation from FMA (Austria), covering users in the EEA. A licence belongs to one legal entity. The same brand name on another domain says nothing about that entity, so check which company the terms name when you register. We did not confirm any entry for Bybit EU in a Spanish national register, and we do not state one.

Bybit EU or bybit.com for residents of Spain?

Bybit EU’s referral programme is open to users onboarded to Bybit EU and residing in the EEA, except Malta. Its FAQ adds that referral relationships are site-specific and cross-site referrals are not supported. Spain is in the EEA and is not Malta, so Bybit EU is the Bybit site this page covers. The search results for a Spanish query often lead to the global bybit.com site; that site is a different one, run by other entities, and this guide does not describe or recommend it for residents of Spain. Our Bybit overview and the Bybit referral code page explain how the Bybit sites differ.

How to sign up with referral code 75062

We may receive a commission from Bybit if you register through our link. It does not change our ranking or the facts on this page.

When this page shows a sign-up button, it applies our code, 75062, on Bybit EU. This page states no bonus amount and promises no reward; whatever applies is set by Bybit’s current terms. Bybit EU’s FAQ says that from 19 March 2026 users who register via a referral code or link no longer receive the Welcome Gift from the Rewards Hub concurrently, and only the referral task is available.

  1. Open Bybit EU from our link and check that the address is bybit.eu.
  2. Check that the referral code field shows 75062 before you submit the form.
  3. Complete the registration with your own details and your country of residence.

Our rankings are independent of whether an exchange pays us; see How we verify.

Deposits: cards and wallets in Spain

Bybit EU’s Fiat Deposit FAQ lists Spain among the countries where Visa, Mastercard, Google Pay and Apple Pay payments are supported. It also says that Bybit EU GmbH charges zero exchange deposit fees for fiat deposits, while external payment service providers may apply separate processing fees or charges depending on the currency and the method. The FAQ says identity verification is required for fiat deposits. The methods you see depend on your country and on provider availability, so open the fiat deposit page in your account before you transfer money. The article shows an update on 3 September 2026.

We did not confirm bank-transfer options for Spain and we say nothing about them here.

Identity verification

Bybit EU’s Fiat Deposit FAQ says identity verification is required for fiat deposits. We did not confirm the verification rules for other services. Follow the steps shown in your own account. We did not confirm which documents are accepted or how long a review takes, so this page gives no time estimate.

Referral code not applied?

  • Check that you registered on bybit.eu. Referral relationships are site-specific, and cross-site referrals are not supported.
  • Check your country of residence on the account: the programme covers the EEA except Malta.
  • Bybit EU’s FAQ says requests to modify or add a referral code after sign-up will not be accepted. If the field was empty when you registered, the code cannot be added later.
  • Contact Bybit EU support with the sign-up date and the email of the account. Do not send passwords or identity documents in the first message.

We cannot change a referral relationship on your behalf.

Where Bybit EU is not available

Bybit EU says its services are not currently available to residents of Malta, and it publishes a list of nationalities it cannot serve. The list is by nationality, so check yours on the live page. If the exchange tells you during sign-up that it cannot serve you, do not look for ways around it; choose another exchange that serves you openly.

Alternative in the EEA

OKX Europe Limited (MFSA, Malta) is in the same ESMA register; see our OKX page. We show no Binance button for residents of Spain.

What this page does not cover

  • Spanish tax rules for crypto income; we have no official AEAT source for them yet.
  • Whether Bybit EU appears in any Banco de España register; we found no evidence either way.
  • Bybit EU’s derivatives offer for Spain, which we did not verify.
  • Bank transfers and local payment methods for Spain.
  • The size of any referral bonus.

Each will be added when we can attach an official source and a check date.

How we keep this page up to date

Every statement in the facts table has a source and a check date. The CNMV page could not be opened by our tooling on 21 October 2026, so its statements are marked as read by our editor on that date. See our editorial policy. This guide is general information, not financial, legal or tax advice. Crypto-assets are volatile, and you can lose the money you put in. Only use money you can afford to lose.
