Does Bybit work in Egypt? Short answer

Checked on 31 October 2026. Egypt is not on Bybit’s own Service Restricted Countries list, last updated on 16 October 2026. Bybit’s fiat list, dated 3 October 2026, names Egypt in the SEPA (EUR) row. Bybit’s card page does not list Egypt, so a Bybit Card is not offered there. The Central Bank of Egypt says in a 2023 statement that no licence has been issued for crypto trading in Egypt. Because of this we show no Bybit button and no code for Egypt.

“Not on a restricted list” is not the same as “licensed in Egypt”. The first is Bybit’s statement about its own service. We did not find a record of a Bybit licence in Egypt, and that is all we say about it.

Is Egypt on Bybit’s restricted list?

The Service Restricted Countries page names the United States, Chinese Mainland, Hong Kong, Singapore, Canada, North Korea, Cuba, Iran, Uzbekistan, Crimea and Sevastopol, the non-government controlled areas of Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson and Zaporizhzhia, Sudan and Syria. For Dubai it says only VAPO LLC is served. Egypt is not in that list. Bybit can change the page at any time, so check the current text before you act.

Which Bybit fiat services are restricted for Egypt

A second Bybit page lists restricted issuing countries for fiat services, split by payment route. Egypt appears once, in the SEPA (EUR currency) row, next to Dominica, Eritrea and Ethiopia. We did not find Egypt in the General Fiat Service, SWIFT (PLN) or SWIFT (USD) rows. That does not mean other fiat routes work for an Egyptian user, and it does not mean fiat is closed entirely. It means only that Bybit restricts SEPA EUR for Egypt on the date of that page.

Is the Bybit Card available in Egypt?

Bybit’s card availability article, marked “Last Updated: June 2026”, lists the supported countries and says that countries not listed are not currently supported for card issuance. Egypt is not in the table. We tried to cross-check this on Bybit’s cards page, but it redirected to the Bybit home page, so our answer rests on the article alone. Do not rely on a card from another country.

What the Central Bank of Egypt says about crypto

The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) published a “Fourth (4th) Warning Statement on Cryptocurrencies” on 8 March 2023. It cites Law No. 194 of 2020, says the CBE “reiterates its previous warnings against dealing with all types of cryptocurrencies”, and says “no license has ever been issued or granted to engage in such trading activities in the Egyptian market”. We quote the statement and give no legal verdict. We did not read the text of the law itself, and the statement is more than three years old.

Why there is no sign-up button here

We show a sign-up button only where we can support it for the visitor’s country. For Egypt we found Bybit’s own lists and a central bank warning, but no licence record, so the page has no button, no code and no sign-up link. This does not change how we rank exchanges: rankings are independent of monetization. If a list or the CBE position changes, we will update this page with the new date. Do not give a false country or use someone else’s identity to get around a restriction or a check.

How we checked

1. Open Bybit’s Service Restricted Countries page, look for Egypt and note the update stamp.
2. Open Bybit’s list of restricted issuing countries for fiat service and find Egypt in each row.
3. Open Bybit’s card countries article and look for Egypt in the table.
4. Open the CBE warning statement of 8 March 2023 and read the text.
5. Compare the dates with the ones above. If a page changed, trust the new text and not this page.
