Is Bitget available in Germany? Bitget's terms say no (October 2026)
Short answer
No. Germany is on the Prohibited Countries list in Bitget’s Terms of Use (last updated 20 October 2026). Bitget says that from 16 January 2026 users in Germany are no longer eligible to open a new account, and Bitget EU has applied for EU crypto-asset authorisation (MiCAR) in Austria, with the outcome pending. That is why this page has no sign-up button. Checked 20 October 2026.

What Bitget’s Terms of Use say about Germany
Bitget’s Terms of Use, “Last updated: October 20, 2026”, define Prohibited Countries as “the following countries and such other locations as designated by Bitget from time to time”, and the list includes Austria, Belarus, Canada, Cuba, France, Germany, Hong Kong and others. We quote the terms and make no legal ruling of our own. Because the terms allow Bitget to designate further locations from time to time, the list can change, so read the current terms on Bitget’s own site before relying on this page.
New sign-ups closed since 16 January 2026
Bitget’s notice “Important update on user signups in France and Germany” says: “Effective January 16, 2026 (UTC+1), In-Scope Users will no longer be eligible to sign up for a new account with Bitget.” For existing German users the notice says only: “We will notify users in advance should there be any further changes to our service offerings for existing German Users.” We add nothing beyond that sentence.
Bitget and MiCAR: application pending in Austria
On 2 July 2026 Bitget published that Bitget EU has submitted an application for authorisation as a crypto-asset service provider under MiCAR to the Austrian Financial Market Authority (FMA). Bitget states that “the timing, scope and outcome of the authorisation process remain subject to the FMA’s assessment.” An application is not an authorisation. Bitget has no confirmed MiCA authorisation in the canonical registry (status MICA_PENDING). On 20 October 2026 a search for “bitget” in the ESMA interim register file (CASPS.csv) returned no rows.
Why there is no sign-up button here
We show a sign-up link only where our evidence covers the country and the exchange is available there. Bitget lists Germany as prohibited, so there is no button, no code and no bonus on this page. If Bitget receives an ESMA register entry or removes Germany from its list, we will review the page.
Alternatives with an ESMA register row
The ESMA interim register has rows for Bybit EU GmbH (FMA, Austria, 28/05/2025) and OKX Europe Limited (MFSA, Malta, 27/01/2025). See our pages on Bybit and OKX. This is a register fact, not a recommendation.
