Does Binance work in Zambia? Binance lists and BoZ rules
No sign-up button for Zambia: we show one only where we have verified the Binance referral offer for that country.
Short answer
Zambia is not named on Binance’s List of Prohibited Countries (updated 5 January 2026), and Binance’s App regions page (updated 18 August 2026) marks Zambia as “Available”. Separately, the Bank of Zambia’s CB Circular No. 05/2026 of 10 March 2026 requires providers of virtual asset and stablecoin services to register with the Bank, including providers outside Zambia. We have not verified whether Binance is registered, so this page has no sign-up button and no code. We make no legal ruling. Binance facts checked 21 October 2026; the circular read 31 October 2026.

What the Bank of Zambia requires from crypto service providers (2026)
CB Circular No. 05/2026 is dated 10 March 2026 and is addressed to commercial banks, non-bank financial institutions and payment service providers. Its title is “Mandatory Registration of Virtual Assets and Stablecoin Service Providers Operating in Zambia”.
The circular says the Bank “has issued a public notice requesting all entities and individuals providing virtual assets/stablecoin services within Zambia to register with the Bank by March 27, 2026”. It adds that this “applies to both resident and non-resident entities/individuals that offer virtual assets/stablecoin services to individuals and businesses within Zambia, regardless of their physical presence”.
It also directs regulated entities to conduct adequate due diligence when partnering on such services and to verify that the providers are registered with the Bank. Failure to comply “will attract regulatory sanctions and penalties”. The circular is addressed to regulated financial institutions. We do not read it as a ban, and it does not name Binance or any other exchange.
What Binance’s App regions page shows
The page says it was updated on 18 August 2026 and lists Zambia as “Available”. We read only the status shown for Zambia and make no claim about which products or payment methods work there.
Is Binance registered with the Bank of Zambia?
By our check on 21 October 2026 we found no published Bank of Zambia list of registered providers. So we cannot say whether Binance has registered, and we do not infer an answer from the absence of a list. If the Bank publishes a register, we will compare it with Binance and update this page.
What we could not verify
We did not verify Zambian kwacha (ZMW) options on Binance P2P, because those pages depend on the visitor’s location and we have no official capture. We say nothing about them and give no steps for moving money to or from a Zambian bank. We do not repeat secondary summaries of the circular; we link the Bank’s own document.
Why there is no sign-up button here
We show a sign-up link only where our evidence covers the country and a licence or registration is confirmed. It is not confirmed here, so there is no button and no code on this page. Do not use a false country or someone else’s identity to get around a check.
How we checked
We opened the two Binance pages on 21 October 2026 and read the Bank of Zambia circular, a two-page scanned PDF, on 31 October 2026. Each source is listed with its URL in the page data and in our evidence file. A fact keeps the date of the source that states it. Read our editorial policy, how we verify and, for where we show the Binance code, Binance referral code.
