Is BingX legal in India? FIU-IND and CFD limits

Published · updated

Checked on 31 October 2026. India is not named in BingX’s Disclaimer list of restricted countries, but the list is not exhaustive. BingX’s CFD products are closed to India. We found no FIU-IND order about BingX and no public FIU-IND record of its registration. This page shows no BingX sign-up button, and we do not publish a code for India.

What BingX’s own terms say about India

The Disclaimer lists restricted countries “including but not limited to” a set of named countries. India is not among them, and the page shows 11 December 2023 as the latest update. Because the list is open-ended, its silence is not a promise that BingX serves every Indian user. The separate CFD Compliance & Regional Restrictions page names India as restricted for CFD products, so spot and CFD are different cases.

BingX and FIU-IND: what we could and could not verify

The FIU-IND Compliance Orders page has orders about Coinbase India, Bybit Fintech, Binance and Peken Global (KuCoin), and none about BingX. The Downloads page has no public list of registered providers. So we did not find an official public record of BingX’s registration; that is not proof that none exists.

A Ministry of Finance release (PIB, 1 October 2025) says FIU-IND issued notices for non-compliance under Section 13 of the PMLA to 25 offshore VDA service providers, and BingX (BingX Limited, British Virgin Islands) is entry 8 on that list. The release adds that the Director FIU-IND also issued notices to these entities on takedown of their apps/URLs. Issuing a notice is not the same as a block being carried out: the release does not say whether any block of the BingX site or app was executed, we have not verified it, and we do not say that BingX is banned.

Our editorial rule is to show a sign-up link only for exchanges where we found an FIU-IND record. We did not find one for BingX, so we show no button and no code. Do not give a false country or use someone else’s identity to get around a restriction or a check.

Crypto tax in India: 30% and 1% TDS

The Income Tax Department guide to virtual digital assets (file dated 6 January 2026) states a 30% tax on income from the transfer of a virtual digital asset, with no deduction other than the cost of acquisition and no set-off of losses, and a 1% TDS on a payment for a VDA to a resident, with thresholds of Rs. 50,000 for certain individuals and HUFs and Rs. 10,000 for others. We give no section numbers: the Income-tax Act, 2025 is reported to have replaced the 1961 Act from 1 April 2026, so check the provisions now in force. This is not tax advice; ask a qualified adviser about your own case.

Alternatives in India

FIU-IND has issued orders that treat Binance, Bybit and KuCoin (Peken Global) as Reporting Entities under Section 2(1)(wa) of the PMLA: Binance order, Bybit order, Peken Global order. That is anti-money-laundering supervision, not an RBI licence. Links to each exchange will be added on this page through our approved offer sources.
