Bybit in Italy: Bybit EU GmbH, CONSOB and referral code

Published · updated

Italian residents sign up with Bybit through Bybit EU, the platform run by Bybit EU GmbH in Vienna. Its authorisation comes from Austria’s FMA, not from CONSOB. ESMA’s register lists Italy among the countries where it may serve clients. Below: what that means, the fees and payment methods Bybit EU publishes for Italy, and how our referral code 75062 is applied. Checked 21 October 2026.

Yes, through Bybit EU. Bybit EU GmbH is authorised by the FMA in Austria. ESMA’s register lists Italy among its host states, and Italy is not on Bybit EU’s list of restricted nationalities. Since 1 July 2026 CONSOB says that providers authorised in another EU country and listed in the ESMA register may offer their services in all EU countries under the “European passport” regime. If you live in Italy and are not a national of a listed country, Bybit EU is the Bybit site meant for you. The sign-up button on this page applies our referral code on Bybit EU.

Who serves Italian residents: Bybit EU GmbH

The FMA’s announcement names Bybit EU GmbH, commercial register no. FN 636180i, and says the authorisation was granted by administrative decision dated 28 May 2025. The services listed are custody and administration of crypto-assets for clients, exchange of crypto-assets for funds, exchange of crypto-assets for other crypto-assets, placing of crypto-assets and transfer services for crypto-assets on behalf of clients.

Bybit EU GmbH holds a MiCA CASP authorisation from FMA (Austria), covering users in the EEA. A licence belongs to one legal entity. The same brand name on another domain says nothing about that entity, so check which company the terms name when you register.

CONSOB’s notice of 30 June 2026 says the transitional period under the EU crypto-assets regulation ends on 1 July, and that providers authorised in other EU countries and listed in the ESMA register may offer their services in all EU countries under the so-called “European passport” regime. We checked the CONSOB notice on 21 October 2026.

The ESMA register row for Bybit EU GmbH, which we read on 20 October 2026, shows Austria as home state, the FMA as authority, 28 May 2025 as the authorisation date and Italy among the host states. Malta is not among them. That is the Italian answer in short: the licence is Austrian, the right to serve Italy comes from the passport, and the register shows it.

Bybit EU or Bybit.com for Italian residents

Bybit runs more than one site, and they are separate. Bybit EU’s referral programme is open to users onboarded to Bybit EU and residing in the EEA, except Malta. It also says referral relationships are site-specific, and cross-site referrals are not supported. For an Italian resident this means one thing: register on bybit.eu, not on another Bybit domain, if you want the code on this page to attach. Our Bybit overview and the Bybit referral code page explain the other Bybit sites and who they serve.

How to sign up from Italy with code 75062

Italy is in the EEA and is not Malta, so an Italian resident falls inside the programme’s stated scope. The sign-up button on this page opens the Bybit EU sign-up page with our code, 75062, in the referral field. Enter or check it before you submit the form. Bybit EU states that requests to modify or add a referral code after sign-up will not be accepted, so the sign-up form is the only moment it can be set.

We may receive a commission from Bybit if you register through this link. It does not change our ranking or this page’s facts.

This page states no bonus amount and promises no reward; whatever applies is set by Bybit’s current terms. Our rankings are independent of whether an exchange pays us. After registering you complete identity verification, described below, before you can deposit.

Fees on Bybit EU

Bybit EU’s Trading Fee Structure article says that from 5 October 2026 at 11:00 UTC the platform moved to a single unified fee structure, with one clear rate across the account. Its first VIP 0 row lists an asset balance of at least EUR 0, 30-day spot trading volume below EUR 10,000 and a trading fee rate of 0.25%, shown as 0.2500%. This is not a single rate for every VIP 0 account: the table contains other volume thresholds and rates, and the article directs users to My Fee Rate after KYC. We read it on 21 October 2026; the article shows an update on 5 October 2026. We did not check an individual account’s rate and do not restate higher-tier rates. Fee schedules change, so read the live page before you trade.

Identity verification (KYC)

Bybit EU states that all EEA users must complete Standard Verification to access its products and services. Advanced Verification is optional. The help article we use was last updated on 25 March 2026. Follow the steps shown in your own account; we did not confirm which documents are accepted or how long a review takes.

Depositing euros from Italy: cards and wallets

Bybit EU’s Fiat Deposit FAQ lists Italy among the regions where Visa, Mastercard, Google Pay and Apple Pay payments are supported. Bybit EU GmbH charges zero exchange deposit fees for fiat deposits, while an external payment provider may apply its own processing fees or charges. The FAQ shows an update on 3 September 2026. We found no separate SEPA line for Italy in that FAQ, so this page does not describe bank transfers. Open the fiat deposit page in your account before you transfer money, because the methods you see depend on your country and on provider availability.

If the referral code did not apply (75062)

  • Check that you registered on bybit.eu. Referral relationships are site-specific, and cross-site referrals are not supported.
  • Check your country of residence on the account: the programme covers the EEA except Malta.
  • Look at the referral field on the sign-up form and make sure it shows 75062 before you submit. After sign-up it cannot be added.
  • Read Bybit EU’s help article How to add and check a registered affiliate code; its conditions apply and we do not restate them.
  • Contact Bybit EU support with the sign-up date and the email of the account. Do not send passwords or identity documents in the first message.

We cannot change a referral relationship on your behalf.

Where Bybit EU is not available

Bybit EU’s list, last updated on 7 May 2026, says the platform is not available to nationals of 23 listed countries and territories, including Belarus, Malta, Russia and the United States, and not available to stateless individuals. Italy is not on it. Bybit EU also says services are not currently available to residents of Malta. The list is by nationality, so check yours. If the exchange tells you during sign-up that it cannot serve you, do not look for ways around it; choose another exchange that serves you openly.

Alternative in the EEA

OKX Europe Limited (MFSA, Malta) is in the same ESMA register; see our OKX page. Binance is not in ESMA’s register, and we show no button for it.

What this page does not cover

  • Italian tax rules for crypto income; we have no official source for them yet.
  • Withdrawal fees, limits and VIP tiers above VIP 0.
  • Bybit EU’s derivatives offer for Italy, which we did not verify.
  • Whether the Bybit EU interface is available in Italian.
  • The size of any referral bonus.

Each will be added when we can attach an official source and a check date.

How we keep this page up to date

Every statement in the facts table has a source and a check date. See How we verify and our editorial policy. This guide is general information, not financial, legal or tax advice. Crypto-assets are volatile, and you can lose the money you put in. Only use money you can afford to lose.
